About Me

Hello! I’m Christine Nimry, a 21-year-old journalism student attending Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).  Food. It provides some of the simplest pleasures in life. My mouth waters at this very moment as I imagine a platter of crispy chicken tenders dipped in honey mustard with a side of toasty fries. I just love food, and as a student at a commuter-based campus, eating healthy food in between classes can be a challenge. I could pack my lunch the night before, but Cheez-Its and Nestea Iced Tea from a vending machine are way more convenient. I’m feeling lazy on my drive home from my afternoon classes. Nothing at home sounds quite as appetizing as a thick, juicy chicken burrito from Qdoba. I throw down the $6 and extra change with no regret as I race home to chow down on this heavenly goodness. Healthier food is everywhere, we just don’t know where to look, or maybe we don’t care enough to try. I want to eat healthier this semester and focus on ways of doing so. Why don’t you join me? Healthy eating is possible, and my mission is to find out how. Now if you’ll excuse me, 20 minutes have passed and my order at Papa John’s is surely ready.
